User talk:LiDaobing
LiDaobing, welcome to Wikipedia. To answer you're question, to make a Computational chemistry be a sub category of Category:Chemistry, you need to create a page at Category:Computational chemistry, and in that page add , which will then appear as a subcategory on Category:Chemistry. You can then add articles to the new category.
For more editing help, see the tutorial, ask at the Wikipedia:Village pump, or feel free to ask me at my talk page. Most importantly, have fun. Gentgeen 08:44, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Zh tags
[edit]Hi LiDaobing,
I noticed you have been switching zh-cn and zh-tw tags to zh. According to Wikipedia:Chinese_interlanguage_links, zh-tw and zh-cn should be used if possible. -spencer195 16:43, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Article Licensing
[edit]Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)
Edit summary
[edit]Hello. Please provide an edit summary. Thanks and happy edits. Hyacinth 03:50, 2 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Sorry to bug you about the same thing, but could you put an edit summary? When you modified polynomial, it should be so easy to write "+zh" as summary. In this way you make sure we know what you are doing. Thanks. Oleg Alexandrov | talk 17:25, 23 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Dou you understand English? Do you have a sense of answering people's messages? Please read what I wrote above. And please do provide EDIT SUMMARIES! Do you understand what an edit summary is? Every time I see your edits you take lots of my time to go and check what you wrote (and that is not easy, because the server is slow). If you provide edit summary (as you must, that's a rule), you will save me and other people lots of time. Please do that! Oleg Alexandrov | talk 15:56, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- I was certainly rude above. I am sorry. Thank you for your reply though. All we want is to make Wikipedia a better place. Oleg Alexandrov | talk 02:45, 25 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Halló LiDaobing! Please take a look at Category talk:Cities by country. Thanks and regards Gangleri | Th | T 09:57, 2005 Jan 31 (UTC)
- Thanks LiDaobing for your answer. I answered also at zh:User talk:Cough#Category:各國城市 and Category:城镇. Regards Gangleri | Th | T 22:46, 2005 Jan 31 (UTC)
Thanks for your work on this article - very informative. I just hope more people in China could get online to add info as well. max rspct 16:11, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Hi. K.C. Tang has just deleted, on zh:荷马史诗 the four interwikis (with that commentary: 錯誤的外文連結) and, on French (fr:Poèmes homériques) and English (Homeric Hymns) articles, the Chinese interwiki, with that commentaries (fr: faux lien (zh), en:false zh link).
Without speaking any word of Chinese, it's difficult for me ti understand that, and it's why I have asked on User talk:K.C. Tang in order to get more informations which could help me to understand these deletions.
I have seen on history page of that you added the first English interwiki onb Chinese page (October 15, 2004) and Chinese interwiki on English page (at the same date). Chinese interwiki having been added later, on French, by a bots and, on Danish and Spanish pages, by authors of translation from the English article.
So it is possible that you could also help me to understand, because K.C. Tang's answer on my talk page doesn't really help me... :o) Hégésippe | ±Θ± 07:21, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
